Year 4’s Super Science Day
On Wednesday 10th February Shelton had it’s annual Super Science Day. Year 4’s task was to help Richard and Rachel the Rolls Royce engineers find a cheaper solution to the metal wires they were using in their engines and to light their aeroplane lamps.
Year 4 embarked upon a mission to investigate the best materials. They knew first of all they had to set up a complete circuit and troubleshoot if something was not working. Next, they had to find good conductors. With the help of parents who came to visit lessons, year 4 children tested electrical circuits changing the material to help see which made the bulbs light up.
Year 4 recorded all of their findings in a table and communicated what they had discovered, ready to feed back to Richard and Rachel. Have a look at our fun learning…
